Ceremonial Meeting of KazISS Academic Council on the 20th Anniversary of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan
On June 20, 2013 (17:00-20:00) the Academic Council of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan holds the Ceremonial Meeting on the 20th Anniversary of the Institute. The event will be attended by the Presidential Administration and Security Council of Kazakhstan executives, Ministry of Foreign Affairs officers, and Kazakhstan Parliament members as well as the representatives of academic, analytical and public entities of Kazakhstan and the diplomatic missions accredited in Kazakhstan.

KazISS Director Awarded Medal of Honor of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland
On April 18, 2013 Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland R. Sikorsky honored Director of the KazISS, Doctor of Historical Sciences Bulat Sultanov with the medal of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland “Bene Merito” for his contribution to friendship of Kazakhstan and Poland and strengthening of experts communities’ cooperation between the two nations.

Cooperation with Experts of China Strengthening
On May 3, 2013 the Academic Council of the Shanghai International Studies University awarded KazISS Director, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Bulat Sultanov with the Diploma of Honorary Professor. At the same day the University President Deming Cao and KazISS Director, Bulat Sultanov signed the Agreement on Cooperation.
We Will Meet. We Will Talk. We Will Make Decision
On November, 11 the X Forum of Interregional Cooperation of Kazakhstan and Russia will take place in Yekaterinburg. A treaty on good neighborly relations and the alliance in the 21st century will be signed there and a package of bilateral economic agreements have been adopted. Bulat Sultanov, Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Doctor in History considered the current bilateral relations.

The oppositional Kazakhstan press dazzles with the publications that the only Russia derived profit from the Customs Union participation, but Kazakhstan lost practically all its positions in it. What’s your point of view on this issue?
Everybody Needs a Job
The “2020 Employment Program” having been launched must be continued but improved. In order to reach a new level, the issue of training must be a priority within its implementation. Unemployed reduction as well as creating of new quality jobs requires serious consideration. Better, more accurate labor demand prognoses are needed, each region must be aware of the demand; the data must be collected via the surveys of the local employers.
A rapid visit in an European manner of the President of Latvia Andris Berzinsh to Astana and Almaty didn’t just draw attention of experts in international relations but put a hard-hitting question: why do we know little about the Baltic States and the commodity turnovers between these countries and Kazakhstan are low? Leila Muzaparova the First Deputy Director of the Kazakhstan Institute for Strategic Studies under the President of Kazakhstan, Candidate of Economic Science studied out this matter.
