On June 28, 2021 in the House of Friendship of Nur-Sultan under the auspices of the Assembly of Peoples of Kazakhstan held an extended meeting of the Scientific-Expert Council of the Assembly of the People of Kazakhstan, dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Independence of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The organizer was the Institute of Applied Ethnopolitical Research.
The agenda of the extended meeting touched upon the APK contribution to strengthening of independence, results of the work of the Scientific-Expert Council of APK, new approaches and prospects of the Scientific-Expert Council of APK, rotation of the SEC APK members, and the pool of young scientists and experts was presented.
In his speech Marat Azilkhanov, APK Deputy Chairman, noted that during the years of independence the Assembly of People of Kazakhstan has developed alongside the state and has done a lot, but there are still many urgent and complicated tasks ahead. He emphasized the work of scientists and experts of the SEC APK, who carry out the strategic task of studying the deep processes of national development, search and development of effective ways and mechanisms for implementing government policy. M. Azilkhanov also noted the importance of developing priority areas of science, creating an information base and an interactive platform for experts to exchange research results in the field of ethnopolitics.
The Director of Kazakhstan Institute of Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Zarema Shaukenova in her speech revealed the significant role of Kazakhstan Assembly in the development of independent Kazakhstan as a strong, sustainable and peaceful state. At the same time the speaker detailed the main directions and results of the work of Scientific-Expert Council of APK.
In the course of the meeting of SEC APK, the proposals were made by the head of the APK department at the L.N. Gumilyov ENU Natalia Kalashnikova, chief researcher of the Institute of Philosophy, Political Science and Religious Studies of Committee of Science of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Anatoly Kosichenko, and by the member of SEC APK North-Kazakhstan region Gulbakhsha Musabaeva.
As a result of the meeting the measures were developed for further improvement of the Scientific-Expert Council on strengthening the applied aspects of scientific research and analysis. It was proposed to develop a unified action plan with the inclusion of priority topics of fundamental and applied research covering all-republican and regional issues.
From KazISS under the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan the meeting was attended by Zarema Shaukenova, Director, member of the APK Council, Deputy Chairman of the SEC APK, and Madina Bektenova, leading researcher of the Department of Social and Political Studies.
